I know today was Easter and I was supposed to be full of happiness and gratitude over the resurrection. And usually I am. But today, I was running a fever, had a sore throat, was missing my Aunt Marguerite who died a couple of months ago and my sweet cousin who died on Easter Sunday a few years ago and let's just say I was in NO MOOD to deal with anyone today.
However, no matter what Sunday it was, how I was feeling, or how in tune I am with the Savior on that particular day; I don't think I will EVER be OK with you turning to my son in the row behind you and calling him "pathetic" RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and then having the nerve to roll your eyes at me when I overheard it and told you to leave him alone. I was so shocked by your rudeness this time that I let it pass. Next time, I'm going to call you out on it VERY loudly just before I remove you from your chair and escort you to your mother in Relief Society.
Just between you and me, I'll admit my son can be a handful. But he's MY handful and I've never found that insults are too helpful in raising him. Also, you are currently in a class with his younger sister who adores him and you are headed into YW in the next year or so where my oldest daughter will be one of three other girls in your class. They may be annoyed by their brother personally, but we're kind of clannish in this family and we are used to having our guard up and our claws out when it comes to protecting him.
Consider yourself warned...
(I so did not get baptized to put up with this crap.)
