Okie Round-Up 2006-Link Love

It's hard to even put into words how much fun this was. I've met people in real life that I knew online before, but never in such a big group. Props to Mike for putting together such an enjoyable Saturday. Before I start giving my play-by-play, I need to give a few shout-outs:

First, the the Redneck Diva, here are all my Disney trip posts. These are monthly archive links because linking to each post individually would take WAY too much time, the Disney trips are titled as such, and shouldn't be hard to find. Frankly, reading these may take way too much time as well. Feel free to pick and choose. (I feel a little like the annoying relative who just pulled out her entire vacation slide show by even posting these.)
The Christmas 2004 trip
The All-Girl Summer 2005 trip Pt. 1
The All-Girl Summer 2005 trip Pt. 2
The Summer 2006 Trip a.k.a. The LAST Disney Trip Dave and I Ever Take Together 2006

To Cissy-I'm so glad we got to meet in person! There's nothing better than being greeted with "Oh I love your blog!" And, in case I didn't say it, I love yours too.
The Harn's last Hootenanny is this Thursday-I don't know if I'll get to come, but you and your husband should. Thanks for keeping me company on the dance floor.

To The Ugly Girls Club-I entertained myself all day Sunday with your podcasts. Funny stuff! I wanna come to IHOP at 5 a.m. too!

I already knew I liked the Incurable Insomniac, but her other half's blog, Nettl's Notes, is 'noteworhty' too. (Sorry for that, you can smack me if you want.) For some reason, Blogger is grumpy when I try to add it to my template (it does similar things when I've tried to add the blog of another writer I admire), but I will keep trying. I really wish I had stayed to see Mozartballs. But, the kiddos were calling me home. I will catch it when it's released-you can bet on it.

Chaz-I may not have recognized the bird Saturday morning, but you can bet I won't forget it from now on-Congrats on being "the best" of us.

And, as many others have said, aka monty at The Daily Bitch is everything you think she would be and more when you meet her in person. I just wish I'd stopped by her table earlier, before my husband started 'paging' me. I'm also sorry I missed out on all the duck action. I think I blew my only chance to see a rubber duck orgy live and in person, my loss.

Things I didn't miss out on were meeting Dan of Dan and Angi Have Something to Say and that made my day because theirs was the first blog I ever read when I joined the Okie Blogger ring. I also enjoyed getting to know the lovely Babs at Conversation Station and chatting with Jan and Dan Danz, whose blogs I discovered when we were nominated against each other for Best Family Blog. While I'm not sure any of us had a chance against Rocks In My Dryer (who was the winner), I knew I was pretty much out-blogged by all my competition. But I was still glad to meet them. (And we wouldn't really have locked the door Kristin, we love you way too much.) Seriously, it was an honor to be nominated at all, and it would have been worth the drive to OKC whether I was in the running for something or not. (And my friend Chris would have nicked my trophy when I came home, anyway. It's a duck. 'Nuff said.) So thanks again to everyone who was involved in this year's round-up and I'll see "ya'll" in 2007.

Chris-That's just what I was thinking when Mike pulled out the trophies.
